About Me

taking on the world on top of Kgale Hill

My name is Lauren Kecskes and I am a pre-med senior at Claremont Mckenna College.  I am interested in confronting health issues in foreign countries.  I truly believe the best way to learn (and the most fun!) is through first-hand experience.  I spent this spring semester focusing on public health issues and HIV/AIDS in southern Africa while studying in Gaborone, Botswana.  The next stop is India, where I’ll be interning with Child Family Health International rotating through clinics in New Delhi and Mumbai with a focus on disease management and prevention.  I will be using this blog to keep in touch and share my experiences.  Since I failed miserably with my first attempt at blogging in Botswana, shoot me an email if I don’t keep up!
